Young Leader Program (YLP) in December 2015

• Students aged between 14 & 17 could experience a taste of residential college & university life.
• This program designed to inspire, increase confidence, encourage critical thinking & guide students on a pathway to tertiary education. 
• It is an existing, 2-week experience for secondary school student (domestic & international) to featuring academic, leadership, & extracurricular activities. 

Duration: Sunday 29 November - Sunday 20 December 2015

Venue: Trinity College, The University of Melbourne

Week 1 Streams (Sunday 29 November - Sunday 6 December)

BIOMEDICINE

- Explore to the world of medicine & medical research

- Visit the genetics laboratories at the University

- Investigate the issue pertinent to the world 

- Look at the rapidly changing area of forensic & biothics

ARTS

- Explore to the arts majors

- Investigate the psychology uses

- Chance to dissect media industries

Week 2 Streams (Sunday 6 - Sunday 13 December)

SCIENCE/ENGINEERING
- Discover the amazing innovations made in astronomy & engineering

- Visit Melbourne Museum

- Participate in robotics workshop

- Explore to the Engineering majors

COMMERCE

- Insight into the life of business

- Workshop, interactive games, & excursions

- Introduction to Australian legal system, civil & contract disputes etc

Week 3 Streams (Sunday 13 - Sunday 20 December)

ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY COASTAL DISCOVERY PROGRAM

- Experience the magnificent nature beauty of Australia

- Learn about environment

- Experience a taste of an inspiring career in the industry

Extracurricular Activities

- Melbourne discover tour

- Karaoke night

- Bollywood dancing

- Rock climbing

- Cultural night

- Giant games night

- Hip-hop dance classes

- Drama & improvisation classes

Program Details

• DATES:No accommodation available before or after the specified program dates.
• COST: AUD$1700 per student per week. 
• SCHOLARSHIPS: closing on Friday 30 October 2015
• INCLUDES: Tuition, return airport transfer, accommodation, meals, mentoring, academic & extracurricular activities
• EXCLUDES: Visas, flight or travel insurance
